THINKING OF BUYING AN E-READER

If you're considering buying an e-reader such as a Kindle or a Sony, read this article from the New Yorker, August 3rd: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2009/08/03/090803fa_fact_baker.

Filled with useful info comparing the two readers, Nicholson Baker also writes about the availability of titles. The two systems offer different books and Kindle offers more, but prices differ.

The Sony does not have wireless connectivity and is more expensive.

As Amazon does not ship Kindle to Canada and refuses to sell books to those with Canadian credit cards, we can only buy a Sony e-reader and books from their online store.

What is a Canadian bibliophile to do? The article may help you decide.
